Blood is the real part of the body. It is such a type of liquid that remains in blood vessels. Blood carries oxygen, water, and Food to all Cells. The blood has four parts: Red, White, Platelets, and Plasma. Every blood drop has 25 crore Red cells and four lacks white cells and 1.5 crore platelets. The red cells give oxygen to the body, white cells provide strong immunity to our body to fight with the diseases and platelets make our blood thick during the time of any unforeseen accidents and plasma gives the required nutrients, hormones, and proteins to the parts of the body that need it. Every blood bag has kept safely in blood banks on 4-degree temperature for 21 days.

Who can donate the blood?

Every healthy person (Male/Female) who is aged between 18 to 65 can donate the blood and even after the age of 65 he/she can donate the blood with the consultation of blood transmission officers. Every donor must have at least a weight of 45 kg and they must have 12.5g HB at the time of donation. The donor cannot donate blood before 90 days of the last donation. The donor who has a medical history like chronic disease like-HIV-AIDS, and High BP, Cancer, etc cannot donate the blood.

How much blood taken out at the time donation?

Usually, 350CC blood has been taken out from the donor at the time of donation. The person who has 5 to 6-liter blood may donate 350CC blood generally. Generally, the quantity of blood in the female is 66ml per Kg of body weight and in male 76ml per Kg of body weight and donation of 6ml per Kg of body weight is totally harmless.

In how much time new blood makes in the body after donation? After 30 minutes of donation, the level of blood can be accomplished. Without any medicines, the blood in every person’s body has made in between three weeks.

When Blood Needed? It is mostly needed at the time of Accidents, Major Surgical Operations, for the treatment of cancer and blood diseases, for Burns and for the life saving of newborn and mother etc.

There are four groups of blood which are:

• A – Blood group is = 22%
• B – Blood Group is = 40%

Some Important Principles Regarding Blood Donation Rules

• In every situation, blood donation must be the voluntarily. No pressure of any kind can be made on blood donors.
• All the required information must be given to the donors before donation.
• Blood donors and blood transmission officers could not make blood donation as a commercial business.
• The discrimination on the basis of caste, colour, country, religion will never be made at the time of donation.
• The needy patients must get the donated blood at free of cost.
